Venues with perks

Q: I’m starting to look at reception venues and I can’t decide between a hotel and a venue. What are some perks to a hotel?

The perks to having your wedding at a hotel are numerous! A full-service hotel can offer all of the amenities (tables, chairs and linens, catering staff) that separately can really start to add up and take away a big portion of your budget. Many hotels offer in-house catering, bartenders and pastry chefs that help reduce the number of vendors you need to hire.

You forego the hassle that comes with arranging transportation to and from your ceremony/reception site. Your guests will love the convenience of reserving a room at your wedding venue, and you can stay at your venue along with your guests and join them for meals and activities that you would otherwise miss out on.
Booking your wedding at the hotel can also save you stress when it comes to planning your rehearsal dinner, as they may have separate event spaces or restaurants to host you family and friends the night before the wedding. They may also provide salon and spa services such as massages or bridal makeup application. A concierge can assist with transportation to and from the airport or suggest group activities to enhance your guest’s experience.

A hotel is a great choice for your wedding venue, one you can return to every year on your anniversary and enjoy it all over again.
