Carly Pearl and Gabe Lugo

June 10, 2017

In honor of the bride’s Jewish heritage, Carly and GabeImceremony included the traditional breaking of the glass, which has many meanings including a reminder that relationships are fragile and must be treated with special care. Other special moments of their day included a longtime friend officiating the wedding, and a wine box ceremony where Carly and Gabe sealed into a wooden box love letters they had written the night before and two bottles of wine that they plan to share together in a future anniversary celebration. Using her DIY skills, Carly created a few key elements for the wedding including the staining and decal on the wine box and the wreath that hung above the sweetheart table. Skipping the traditional introductions at the reception, Carly gave everyone in the bridal party fun nicknames for the DJ to announce as they entered. Adding to the fun, a selfie station complete with selfie sticks and a handmade backdrop kept the party going. The most memorable part of the day? “How happy everyone was,” says Carly, and how perfectly everything came together.
