September 17, 2016

Bride’s name: Catie Bosela

Groom’s name: Zeke Braham

Occupations: Catie is an orthodontic technician and Zeke is a carpenter.

How they met: Catie and Zeke met through mutual friends on New Year’s Eve.

The proposal: On Valentine’s Day morning, Zeke surprised Catie with a little more than a present – a proposal.

Number of guests: 85

Wedding colors: Warm, dusty colors

Most memorable moment…

For her: “How relaxing and fun (our wedding day) was.

It wasn’t sappy or stressful in the least. It was full of laughter and everyone having a good time. Truly felt like a celebration.”

For him: “My childhood friend’s dad married us.”

Funniest moment: “During the group photos before the ceremony, there was a bat that kept flying around us. Then, during the ceremony, it parked itself right above us and starting chattering as we were saying our vows.”

Unique aspects of the day: “We tried to make everything as personal to us as possible. Everything from the silly Moscow mules with personal quotes to each other to Catie’s nieces handing out flowers to having cootie catchers for the wedding programs.”

Three words that best describe their day: “Fun, exciting and cherished.”

If they had the chance to do it again, what they would do differently: “Give ourselves a little more time to plan and get everything done.”

What Catie loves most about her husband: “How deeply he loves. Not even just for me but for his family and friends too. He’s a pretty stoic man, but he would do almost anything for the ones he loves if he’s able to.”

What Zeke loves most about his wife: “Catie is a strong, independent and supportive woman who cares for my wellbeing and her family’s.”

Best advice for a couple planning a wedding? “First is to make a timeline of the day and try to stick with it. The second thing I would recommend is to not be afraid to delegate work. Our wedding was everything it was because of the help of our family and friends.”
