As a little girl, Irina had always dreamed she would marry the man who gave her a dollhouse. On a rainy night under the Eiffel Tower, Federico made Irina’s dreams come true, presenting her with a dollhouse – and her engagement ring. On their wedding day, family from around the world gathered to celebrate the couples’ love on a special, sunny day. Venezuelan, Italian, Russian and Alaskan cultures were expressed in décor, food, drinks, songs and traditions like “El Cotillon,” where everyone puts on accessories and tries to steal the bride, and the groom has to win her back. Despite Irina’s incredible planning, things still didn’t go according to plan, “which created the best and funniest memories forever!” The occasional mishaps included what Irina considers the funniest moment of the day – when she realized she had placed all of the bridal flowers in the freezer instead of the refrigerator. Luckily, a friend flying in picked up some new flowers on her way, and the problem was solved. “The groom was glad he wasn’t the one who killed the flowers,” they joked.
