Brittney Nichols and Seth Boegel

Brittney and Seth’s love story dates back to high school. During their freshman year, “Seth saw me every day but never spoke to me,” recalls Brittney. “One day he handed me a note, and then immediately ran off for his bus. The note said: ‘Hi, my name is Seth, and I just wanted to see how you were doing!’ From then on we were friends.” Their wedding took place on a wintry day at the Bayshore Clubhouse. The couple will never forget taking their wedding pictures for an hour outside in 12-degree weather – with no coats or gloves. “The pictures came out amazing, and we don’t regret it at all. In fact, it’s fun to tell people what the temperature was while we were walking around trying to look natural.” The couple incorporated a peacock theme, including peacock feathers on the bridesmaids’ clutches and the bride’s shoes, and a handmade peacock feather stamp on the invitations. Another twist on tradition: The couple opted for homemade cheesecakes to serve at the reception. “Who doesn’t like cheesecake?” Brittney adds. “It fits our personalities better, anyway.”
