Katrina Leary and Joseph Beckman
August 13, 2011
Katrina and Joey’s summertime backyard wedding was a celebration marked by many special personal touches provided by family and friends. Joey’s stepmom grew most of the flowers for the centerpieces, and Joey cut all the wood rounds for the tables himself. A cousin painted all the signs around the site, and the best man handmade the lollypop stands for the candy bar. Pansies were planted, and the mother of the bride crocheted all the doilies and tablecloth for the cake table. Friends of the family loaned the couple their “cool toys”: a rolling barbecue for the bar, and a 1942 Ford Hot Rod for pictures. What Katrina remembers most is “the overwhelming emotion of love I felt when walking towards our circle of family and friends, then down the aisle to marry my best friend.” Joey says he “will never forget how radiant and beautiful Katrina looked in that moment.”
