Lauren Trimble and Aaron Isenhour
July 23, 2011
Lauren and Aaron's wedding-day theme was 'Handmade and Home Grown.' "Aaron and I have a special appreciation for those individualistic and unique touches, so a lot of our wedding was just that." Since the couple had about 30 out-of-town friends attend, their big day was more like a big week. Lauren and Aaron treated their guests to a wine tasting at Bear Creek Winery, a sightseeing boat trip in Kachemak Bay and the bachelor party was an overnight fishing trip out of Homer where Aaron landed a 219.8 pound halibut that won him fourth place in the Halibut Fishing Derby for July. "Our friends did so much in helping with the wedding. It made every little thing that much more important and appreciated." What Lauren will never forget is "walking down the aisle with my father and seeing all our guests' happy faces and genuine smiles directed at me. The image that will never leave my mind is when we turned the corner and I saw Aaron standing at the altar. As soon as he saw me, tears streamed down his face and even though I was still about 30 feet from him he instinctually reached his arms out to me and started walking towards me. At that moment, nothing else mattered. I saw no one and nothing but him. As soon as we reached each other, we just started laughing and everything was so easy!"
