Luckily for Mandy, her job was to relax, get pampered and show up the day of the wedding. Chris had created a binder full of checklists and schedules for all vendors and significant players in the wedding. This made the day of the wedding stress-free for the bride. What Mandy remembers most about her day is “the moment we were first introduced as newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. McConnell, and the song ‘Good Life’ by OneRepublic played. Every time we hear that song, we are reminded of our special day.” Homemade decorations added special touches to the setting. More than 500 paper cranes were folded and strung. Another special moment for the couple was their first dance. They worked with their dance instructor to choreograph a Bachata routine to “Princesa,” the song the groom proposed to on the couple’s third anniversary. “It’s about a man asking a woman to be his queen.” Earlier in the day, they had a “first look” session at Beluga Point. “The Alaska Railroad train was coming towards us, so I picked up my wedding dress and ran across the foliage in my Bogs to get in place for a photo. The photo turned out amazing. We were so lucky to capture that moment!”
