Stephanie Jensen and Michael Gould
July 10, 2010
On their wedding day, Michael rowed Stephanie across the Kenai River in his family’s shimmering drift boat – he in his Army dress blues and she in her beautiful couture wedding dress. Michael carried his bride up the river bank where friends and family awaited with sparklers in hand. The couple wed in front of a beautiful water fountain at the Gould family cabin nestled in a remote neighborhood in Cooper Landing. After the kiss, 100 Monarch butterflies were released and a string trio played as Mr. and Mrs. Gould were announced for the first time. For the bride and groom’s signature drink, a Lychee martini, the mother of the groom went “above and beyond” when she had hundreds of fresh Lychee flown in overnight from Florida. Stephanie recalls one of several “hilarious moments” during the day when two daughters of close family friends serenaded the bride and groom to Taylor Swift’s hit song ‘Love Story,’ complete with choreography. “It was a huge hit with the crowd.”
