Kasey and Jeremy met in nursing school, and Kasey proposed to Jeremy at the top of Alyeska. “He was surprised to say the least!” she says with a laugh. “We had an amazing wedding party that really showed up in force and helped us out so much.” Kasey remembers the best part of their wedding day as the first dance: “It was magical. The stress of the day melted away and it was just the two of us.” The pandemic presented some challenges for this couple, as it has for all of us. “Luckily we were all able to stay safe and spread out,” says Kasey. “The venue was one of a kind, with glacier views, beautiful decorations, peonies growing and horses playing.” Kasey says that there were a couple of food mishaps, as is prone to happen with weddings, but the funniest was when the maid of honor picked up the wrong pizza order. “It was for another person named Kasey,” says the bride. “We all laughed and laughed. What a thing to happen on our wedding day!” Kasey and Jeremy both changed their last name to Burchill after their wedding.
