Melissa & Chris
January 4, 2020

Bride’s name: Melissa Tramp
Groom’s name: Chris Fall
Occupations: Melissa is a pediatric nurse and Chris works in construction.
How they met: Through mutual friends.
The proposal: While the two were walking up a winding forested trail, a beautiful view opened up of Resurrection Bay, making it the “perfect moment” for Chris to get down on one knee.
Number of guests: 130
Wedding colors: Navy and burgundy
Most memorable moment…
For her: “Our first look and seeing Chris for the first time on our wedding day, just the two of us at the top of the tram above the clouds. I also remember walking down the aisle at the Chapel to become his wife, along with the photo booth and dance floor with our glow sticks.”
For him: “Coming up to the top of the tram and seeing the view only added to the excitement to the first look, which blew me away.”
Unique aspects of the day: For a special way to greet the guests, welcome boxes filled with Alaska-made products were given to all of them when they checked in at the hotel. Other personalized touches included wedding favor cups made with a unique sketch designed by their close friends, a hot chocolate bar and a fun sparkler send off.
Funniest moment: “Taking pictures in single-degree digits, watching everyone race to and from cars, dropping their big down jackets at the last second and putting them right back on to try and stay warm!”
Three words that best describe their day: “Thankful, fun and worry-free.”
If they had the chance to do it again, what they would do differently: “In our minds, our wedding was absolutely perfect and we wouldn’t change anything about it, except learning how to control the weather and making it 10 degrees warmer during pictures! (It was 4 degrees!) Or bring hand warmers for the pictures.”
What Melissa loves most about her husband: “How thoughtful, kind, selfless and giving he is. I also love his sense of humor, strength and openness.”
What Chris loves most about his wife: “Her kindness and drive to do what she sets her mind to.”
Best advice for a couple planning a wedding: “Hire a wedding planner and surround yourself with a good team! Our wedding would not have turned out the way it did without the help all of our vendors, especially Lorell from i do Events. Also, enjoy the process and have fun with everything!”
