Taylor McGrath and Colton Hittle

August 1, 2020

Colton scheduled a photo shoot for the day he wanted to propose, but when that day arrived, it was freezing rain! Taylor tried to tell him to reschedule, but Colton insisted. After a hike out to the photo spot, Colton got down on one knee in the middle of taking photos and pulled a ring out of his pocket. “I was so surprised!” says Taylor. Despite getting married in the middle of a pandemic, “I just remember being so excited!" she says. "All I could think about was seeing Colton at the end of the aisle, and all of our close family and friends there watching. It was the most perfect Alaska wedding.” With Summit Lake in the background and the couple’s loving families standing by, it’s easy to see why Taylor loved her wedding day. While they had good weather for the ceremony, it started to rain as they were taking photos, and by the time they got back to Taylor’s parents' house, her dress was completely covered in mud! “My dad had to rinse my dress off with a garden hose!”
