Calla & Warren

August 24, 2024

Bride’s name: Calla Seay

Groom’s name: Warren Gage

How they met: “Would you be surprised if I said that Warren casually ‘slid into my DMs’? We may not have the most unique story, but a simple gesture on Instagram turned into a forever kind of love!”

Number of guests: About 100

Wedding colors: Terracotta, rust, sage green and creme

Unique and special aspects of the day: “We did a lot of DIY projects leading up to the wedding: our wedding arch, designing the photo mirror, building our photo wall and even building our cake/cupcake stands. It was amazing to see everything we worked hard on and pictured in our heads set up and put together. We also decided on a wedding buffet dinner that we put together with our family that included a whole roasted pig and incorporated Filipino cultured food from the bride's side of the family!”

Most memorable moment…

For her: “Our day started with sunshine during our first look and ended with a rainstorm and sparkler exit. I loved the change in weather; it made for the most amazing photos! The rain did not stop a single person from dancing and having a good time! My wedding dress turned brown at the bottom from the mud, but nothing could have ruined the best day of my life marrying my best friend!”

For him: “Watching my wife walk down the aisle and having all the emotions hit me. She looked so beautiful and we had the most perfect day with our friends and family surrounding us!”

Funniest moment: “Watching the bride's grandparents take over the dance floor and get down to ‘Teach Me How to Dougie’.”

Three words that best describe their day: “Intimate, timeless and unforgettable.”

If they had the chance to do it again, what they would do differently: “Absolutely nothing, it couldn't have been more perfect!”

Best advice for a couple planning their wedding: “Soak in every moment and enjoy the process together! Try to stay open minded as things can change multiple times, but all the stress and hard work will be worth it in the end. Most importantly, this is your wedding. It's a day to celebrate the love between you and your partner. Try not to let others’ opinions interfere with how you want your wedding to be.”
